Storefront glass takes the most abuse on a business property. Hands push on the entry doors all day and leave prints at the same height. Kids and dogs leave marks lower down on the panes. Wind pushes dust and pollen onto the glass between cleanings.
We scrub each pane by hand, then pull the water off with a squeegee. The edges and corners get wiped so the glass dries even. Frames, sills and tracks come next, along with the door glass and the push bars. Cobwebs in the frame corners come out at the same time.
Restaurants and drive-thrus pick up a greasy haze on the glass near the window and the doors. That film holds dust, so it looks worse than plain dirt. We wash those panes with a detergent first, then rinse and squeegee. The concrete under the entry is a separate job, covered by our commercial pressure washing.
Office glass gets dirty in a quieter way than a storefront. Dust settles on the outside of the panes, then rain streaks it. Under oaks, pollen and sap leave a film that water alone will not lift. Lobby and entry doors still pick up prints from every visitor.
